“Without You Here” – Goo Goo Dolls

Filed under: Songs

Your love’s a gathered storm I chased across the sky
A moment in your arms became the reason why
And you’re still the only light that fills the emptiness
The only one I need until my dying breath
And I would give you everything just to
Feel your open arms
And I’m not sure I believe anything I feel

And now, now that you’re near
There’s nothing more without you
Without you here

And I’m trying to believe
In things that I don’t know
The turning of the world
The color of your soul
That love could kill the pain
Truth is never vain
It turns strangers into lovers
And enemies to brothers
Just say you understand
I never had this planned

And now, now that you’re near
There’s nothing more without you
Without you here
Without you here
There’s nothing more without you
Without you here

My head lies to my heart
And my heart it still believes
It seems the ones who love us are the ones
That we deceive
But you’re changing everything
You’re changing everything in me

And now, now that you’re near
There’s nothing more without you
Without you here

Hurt – Johnny Cash

I hurt myself today
to see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
the only thing that’s real
the needle tears a hole
the old familiar sting
try to kill it all away
but I remember everything
what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
upon my liar’s chair
full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
beneath the stains of time
the feelings disappear
you are someone else
I am still right here

what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

if I could start again
a million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Yeh Kya Ke Sab Se Bayan Dil Ki Haalatain Karni
Faraz Tujh Ko Na Aain Mohabbatain Karni
Ye Qurb Kya Hai Ke Tu Saamne Hai Aur Humain
Shumar Abhi Se Judaai Ki Saatain Karni
Koi Khuda Ho Ke Patthar Ho, Jise Bhi Hum Chahain
Tamaam Umr Usi Ki Ibaadatain Karni
Sab Apne Apne Karine Se Muntazir Uske
Kisi Ko Shukr Kisi Ko Shikaayatain Karni
Hum Apne Dil Se Hain Majboor Aur Logon Ko
Zara Si Baat Pe Barpa Qayaamatain Karni
Milain Jab Unse Tu Mubham Si Guftugoo Karni
Phir Apne Aap Se Sau Sau Wazahatain Karni
Yeh Log Kaise Magar Dushmani Nibahte Hain
Humain Tu Raas na Aain Mohabbatain Karni
Kabhi Faraz Naye Mausamon Main Ro Dena
Kabhi Talaash Purani Rifaaqatain Karni

Rickshaw Traveler’s Guide for DUMMIES:

According to Wikipedia word ‘Rickshaw” comes from the Japanese word “jinrikisha” (jin = human, riki = strength, sha = vehicle), which literally means “human-powered vehicleHuman runner rickshaw pullers are mainly replaced by bicycles and motor driven rickshaws in Asia and these are also found in western cities known as pedicabs.The things that I have gathered here are the conclusions of experiences that I have had for last 1 year. Before riding a rickshaw one should keep following things in mind.

  • If you’re in a hurry, try to face read the rickshaw wala. For example if he is a greybeard then he would take more time then normal.
  • Try to memorize the number plate.
  • If he wears a tough guy’s face then bargain the tariff and the route to your destination in advance and closely watch his every move.
  • You may also have to keep one thing in mind that these days’ people get robbed in Rickshaws and Taxis. So if the rickshaw wala take some suspicious route interrupt him or stop him.
  • Recheck again by mentioning different prominent landmarks around your destination in order to check whether the rickshaw wala knows the place and the route leading to the destination very well.
  • Always be cautious when the rickshaw wala try to be nice with you return him with crude looks.
  • Always try to ask him whether he got the change or not, before riding the vehicle.
  • If the Rickshaw wala gets indulge in the ecstasy of fast driving, keep pinging him with very loud and clear Curts reminding him that he is driving an unbalance 3 wheeled Rickshaw not a plane by the way planes also have 3 wheels.
  • If you are in cities like Lahore better get before hand knowledge whether the type of rickshaw (4 strokes or 2 strokes) you are traveling is allowed to the destination.

 On the whole Rickshaw wala’s are a very calm and polite looking creatures but the circumstances and the work environment they are working in can easily turn any sane mind into insane.

We shall live to see,

So it is writ,

We shall live to see,

The Day that’s been promised,

The Day that’s been ordained,

The Day when mountains of oppression,

Will blow away like wisp of cotton;

When the earth will dance;

Beneath the feet of once enslaved;

And Heaven’ll shake will thunder;

Over the heads of tyrants;

And the idols in the house of Gods;

Will be thrown out;

We, the rejects of earth;

Will be raised to the place of Honor;

All crown’ll be tossed in the air;

All throwns’ll be smashed;

And God’s word will prevail.

He who is both present and absent;

He who’s beheld and is the beholder;

And truth shall ring in every ear;

Truth which is you and I;

We, the people will rule the earth;

Which means you, which means I.

Journey to Lahore

I have heard that if some one is spatted by flying birds, he got lucky.

All of us have some sort of superstitions so do I. I believe if some one travelling by air seated next to an attractive female he got lucky.

After spending 2 whole months in calm yet tense hospitable environs of Quetta. I was there for Government of Balochistan Project. I only got chance of spend only a week to stay in Karachi. I was told to join a ECP Project at Lahore. As soon as i get PNR No, I tried to change my designated seat by a window seat but alas I unable to do so.

As Usual I reached airport 5 minutes early at Jinnah International and while running toward the gate 16 dropped my boarding card twice. Entered the plane and I was smoothly routed toward my seat.

What on Earth GOOD GOD Guess What???? I got lucky double time I got a seat sandwiched between two highly attractive ladies? The girl at my right was dressed in a well fashioned eastern dress and girl at my left was dressed in sleeveless western dress. The usual duration of the flight to Lahore is 90 mins. The girl seating on my right had some problem with her ear phones (she’s got nothing to do).

The girl seating on my left had some strange book in her hand she also give-up reading after 25 mins (she also got nothing to do).

For the whole duration of the flight I tried to brainstorm different options that I have and I galloped the horses of my wit and reasoning till the end of isle of hope. “Dear Passenger please fastens your sear belts we are about to Land at Allama Iqbal International Airport”. Bring me back to reality, “Damn it, times up I cant say a word“.
